Pre-Register for all classes to reserve a seat. 

Our instructors need headcounts to prepare kits, materials, and class agendas.  If you do sign up, please make every effort to attend since project kits can be costly and cannot be returned once fabric is cut. We appreciate your understanding!

Fleur di lis Planning Meeting

We are having a planning meeting for all of those interested in the Fleur de Lis quilt from Hoop Sisters. Please choose one if you are interested in the BOTM. This will help us to bring to you the best experience with this special BOTM.

February 18th:
10:00 AM
6:00 PM

At this meeting, we will discuss costs, fabrics selections, necessary notions and class structure. If you have ever wanted to do a BOTM, come to this meeting to find out more and decide if you want to join in the fun. 

There are so many choices for this quilt that PLANNING is ESSENTIAL to make it what you want. See you there!

Feb 5 - Ongoing Ruler Work class  (10 am - 3 pm) 

Feb 12 - Affairs of the Heart Month 6 ( 6 pm - 9 pm)

Feb 17 - Affairs of the Heart Month 7 (10 am - 2 pm)

Creative Studio

Bernina Creative Studio is a series of make and take project sessions

designed to explore the techniques and capabilities of Bernina sewing

and embroidery machines. These focus on Bernina feet, accessories

or techniques. 

Feb 8 / Feb 12 - 10am to 2pm - Embroidery and Technique Class - $35 for kit and class

Feb 29 - 10am to 2pm - Mini Hexagon Pouch - $30 for kit and class 

* prices do not include presser feet needed for the class. These are purchased separately. 

-Month 2 Sewing is the Personalized Napkin ring - Nothing says

“welcome to my table” like a personalized napkin ring. Using 

built-in embroidery lettering in your BERNINA, quickly create

lettering for each ring. Add a buttonhole, and you have a ribbon

pass-through opening to form the ring. You’ll love this fun and

festive project! Bring your machine and notions. .

 

-Month 2 Embroidery is the #6 and #39 Embroidery Foot Technique 

The Embroidery Feet #6 and 39/39C have unique properties that offer

you beautiful, fun, creative options. In this BERNINA Creative Studio

lesson, learn several decorative stitching techniques using cords, wires

and more! Bring your embroidery machine, hoops, notions.

For the classes above:

You will need your machine, embroidery module, #26 foot, large oval hoop and your #3A buttonhole foot for the embroidery project.  Bring a bobbin wound with 60 wt bobbin thread.  


For the technique project, bring #6 and #39 feet.  For those of you with B880+ and B790+ machines, also bring your #40 sideways motion foot.  Bring general sewing supplies such as snips, machine needles, etc.

-Month 2 Serger is the Mini Hexagon Pouch Project - Make a hexagon

catch all zipper pouch and learn how to do flatlock serger stitch! Serger

and Multipurpose foot do it! Bring your serger, multipurpose foot, regular foot,

and notions!

 

Introduction to Rulerwork

Feb 4th - 10am to 2pm - $175 (one time charge)

Learn quilting techniques using a ruler foot #72. The first class

will be dedicated to practicing with the rulers.  You will need to

bring your machine with a Rulerwork foot (Bernina foot 72),

eight 12 x 12 inch quilt sandwiches (fabric, batting, fabric). All

supplies can be purchased at the store. You will need the Ruler Kit.

  • Sampler set 1 template set

  • 12” arc template

  • Lineworks template

Each subsequent class is $10. 

Bernina Embroidery Software Version 8 Mastery Class  
Feb 19th  - Mastery Class   (10 am - 2 pm)

- This mastery class series is designed to familiarize software owners with the features of this powerful software package. Lesson 1 addresses software basics and good practices.  You will need your laptop loaded with the software and a computer mouse.
